I have 128 Mb allocated to my video by default, can that be changed?

Depends.

If the video shares memory with the computer then you can change the amount of video memory in the BIOS.

If the video has dedicated memory then probably no way to change it unless the maker provided a memory slot for the video memory.

Probably - but depending on how much system RAM you have installed, it may slow down your computer if you increase it. If its a bit slow already due to insufficient RAM you may gain some responsiveness by reducing it.

You will have to enter the BIOS to change it. The method to enter the BIOS varies from one machine to another, but the most common way is to press the delete key after at the begging of the boot process, before the windows splash screen come up. Some machines use the F1, F2 or F10 key. Often you will see a message on your screen when you first boot up that tells you how to enter 'setup'.

You can change the amount allocated in BIOS. Press F2 when your laptop boots up.
