I heard a girl telling someone that she has gotten all kinds of free things over the internet....game systems, cameras, ipods, etc. I have looked every place I could think of, but all of them want you to subscribe to something, buy something, or start a trial of something that they want my credit card or banking routing number. Is there REALLY anyplace on the internet that you can get TRULY free things without any strings attached???

Of course not. The only way to get something entirely free is to win it in a contest or sweepstakes held by a major store or company, where the odds are several million to one. And even then there are strings attached, depending on the product won.

Almost always no. There may be rare exceptions, but generally if it's something expensive or popular you won't get it for free.

I got a PCMCIA network/modem card for free... from a company that was trying to break into the market. It was meant to be a loan for evaluation but they didn't want it back in the end. But I've never got a PC for free... or an ipod. They're expensive and popular!

The only thing free is the drivers needed for your equipment to operate properly. There are some games on Yahoo you can play for free.
