I said that Id get my work done...
Homework is making my life at home a living hell....
Sometimes school and homework has actually given me suicidal thoughts....
I really need video games.... They refresh me and make me concentrate...

becoz she knows what's best for u...answer ur homework first! and sleep early..u have a class on weekdays...u dnt wnt to get eyebags right?

i think she's doing what she thinks is best for you.
maybe you should try talking to her...
make an agreement/plan/compromise etc.
that if you finish your homework DAILY, unless there are HUGE projects...
you get to play video games for a limited amount.
1 hr tops. daily...
or if she doesn't like that, maybe 2-3 times during the school week.
you know, technically the school week is sun-thurs. so you still have fri and sat. to play all you want :0)
actually, video games and tv etc are shown to make the brain 'lazy'-- maybe this is where mom's concern lies.
my son is only in 1st grade, and i still limit his tv, computer, game times. school is #1, and even though he doesn't have much homework, there are better things he can do besides vege out on the tv.
anyway, try talking to her, or writing her a letter. hopefully she'll listen to your thoughts and ideas.

Mothers know best, my dear. Try to be a good person and invest in yourself by doing your job. If you get your work done right, it isn't very likely that she would stop you from playing, unless you play for hours on end. If that's the case, then you got yourself an addiction. Good luck.

if your having suicidal thoughts because you cant play a video game then you really need help. your mother needs to throw them games out the car window driving really fast. go out side ride a bike play in the dirt or something be a kid video games or not going to help you be anything in life!

Prove to them studies n play do mix - show them your latest exam result . If not you better don't waste their hard earn cash.
They don't grow on trees you know !!!
