If ICL is just a proper cricketing tournment, meaqnt to supplement the Indian domestic cricket, then its fine.

But if Kapil is thinking in lines of a parallel league, its not fair.ICL looks like a commercial venture rather then a sporting venture

Firstly Kapil Dev didnt start the Indian Cricket League. It was started by the Zee Group. Kapil Dev is the chairman for ICL. If someone is offering a good deal why not join? Where is the question of fair or not being fair arise?

i would wanna start answering with this that the ICL was not started by Kapil Dev, it was started by Subhash Chandra (essel group). Kapil Dev later joined it. The ICL is made to make cricket more popular in india and make India, the centre of cricket as it is paying more than the english leagues. This will also help find new talents. Playing cricket wont be a dream anymore. Also this will help indian players play in india as a league. This will give india a new croud, would provide more jobs and money for the stadiums. Thus i conclude that ICL is made for the betterment of cricket, not to replace BCCI.

The ICl was started by Essel group..Kapil is the chairman of the ICL. Yes, They did right thing. BCCI is just busy in making money and members are mostly Businessman or politicians.
A cricket body with these type of person????????
I wish all good luck to ICL, Kapil . a honest person, not like Gavasker, a clever person, live for himself.
This league will not only support young cricketers but some retired cricketers who can help young cricketers to grow.
Go ICL...

"Absolute power equals absolute corruption". So is probably the case with BCCI's monopoly. It is said that politicians and persons with vested interests have taken over BCCI for quite some time and it practices nepotism, corruption, political rivalry etc. to various degrees. These are marring the game and the players to a great extent.

When Kapil Dev realized these negative impacts on the game he loves to play, he decided to starts a parallel body, ICL. If one beleives in democracy, he must be given a chance to prove the credentials of ICL. Who knows it may offer a fair chance both to players and the game and also mend the ways BCCI has been governing the game of cricket !!!!

none likes to pass off their monopoly purely like that. BCCI replaced into with be annoying and worry while Kapil , an Icon of Indian cricket joined hand with ICL..They concept they are going to be dropping teir floor.they might have lost the floor if Lalit Modi did no longer act conflict footedly to compete the ICL/ any rebellion working example. What Kapil reported is authentic and time will instruct that. BCCI is extremely wealthy so it could dictate words to ICC additionally.

Sportsbodies in many countries are transparent in their activities. But when u look at BCCI which is still shady and treats players like slaves. If Kapil's ICL treats players better and offer more money than BCCI, then there is nothing wrong in starting another parallel body.
