Use the sum formula:

sin(a + b) = sin a cos b + sin b cos a

In this case, a = pi/3 and b = -pi/4, so we get

sin(pi/3 - pi/4) = sin (pi/3) cos (-pi/4) + sin (-pi/4) cos (pi/3)

= (√3 / 2) (√2 / 2) + (-√2 / 2)(1/2)
= √6 / 4 - √2 / 4
= (√6 - √2) / 4.

sin (pi.3 -- pi/4)
=sin(pi/3)cos(pi/4) -- cos(pi/3)sin(pi/4)
= (sqrt3)/2 * 1/sqrt2 -- (1/2) * 1/sqrt2
= [sqrt3 -- 1] / 2sqrt2
= [1.732 -- 1] / 2(1.414)
= 0.732 / 2.848
= 0.2570

Use the angle subtraction formula for sines.

sin(π/3 - π/4) = (sin π/3)(cos π/4) - (cos π/3)(sin π/4)

sin(π/3 - π/4) = (√3/2)(1/√2) - (1/2)(1/√2)

sin(π/3 - π/4) = (√3 - 1) / (2√2)

sin(π/3 - π/4) = (√6 - √2) / 4 ≈ 0.258819
