Do all female monkeys menstruate? How old do they have to be in order to start it? How do they deal with it? The blood just comes out and that's it? Does it also take approximately a month till the next cycle? Everything you know about this issue would be interesting...!

I think they do not so. they ahve the regular mating season, unlike humans who are constantly ready for mating and parenting /physically/. The chimpansee females are not much attactive to males, unless the female is in the mating period.
the human period is linked with the period of life of a human ovum.
the bleeding tissue of human female is regenerating and getting ready for a new ovum that could eventually be fertilized and produce an offspring. on the contrary, the bleeding appearing at let§s say dogs, represents again the tissues reading, and more than that a sexual signalling by pheromones. anyway the principle is different, while the optical result is similar. bleeding of the human means regenerating, dogs' spoting is just cause of overpressured tissue.
I say NO, monkeys do not menstruate.

well to reproduce they have a very similar menstrual cycle to humans but it can show its self in many different ways. if a female is ready to mate (fertile) say in chimps she gets an abdominal swelling that lets males know she is ready and also allows males to then compete for her so she can obtain the best mate. but this can be cryptic. in primatology studies they found that even within the same species and the same troops of chimps i believe although it might've been macaques, can't quite remeber. the swelling did not indicate precisely the one or two days she might be fertile in her cycle it is very vasriantin relation to her swellings. often at this time a female is mated with often by many males and so none is sure of the true father , this protects against infanticide in the future, very clever. cycles vary with age and with species but around a month is about right. and like humans apes often have an extended juvenile stage and may become fertile within this period. but often as they are too small if they are mated with they miss carry or after giving birth and being such an inexperienced mother often their first offspring will die. a bit like humans getting a period at early teens but we don't all go round having babies. in general the different monkeys and apes show menstruating or not depending on many factors of biology and sociaology and so there is no one answer. i hope this didn't ramble on for too long i am quite interested in our primate "cousins" also.

Yes they do. The reproductive cycle of most of the higher primates is very similar to that of human females.
