it's a scam. drive cleaner tells you about the fake infection and urges you to pay it. thanks to your antivirus you hand't installed drive cleaner yet. to get rid of drive cleaner follow this removal: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-drive-cleaner.html

Delete the Temporary internet Files, or go to Internet Options from Control Panel and clear history

if ur visiting such sites....u simply need to clean your temporary fiesl folder...all the details gets stored there....if ur using internet explorer in teh options tab u have a tab to clear temporary files...that shud solve the porblem...

the drive cleaner may have some spyware hence the anti virus is not allowing the dowload....do not download some junk drive cleaners/spyware detectors cause they are bundled with virus already...

First, if you don't want to get busted looking at ****, then stop looking at ****.

The pop up you are getting is most likely spyware, clicking on it jsut downloaded either a) more spyware, or b) a virus.

Either way, download a spyware detector, and a virus protection, keep them both up to date, and stop going to the **** sites...:)

yes , probably a spyware infected your comp.don't click on the dialog box not even on the close button, close it from task manager.
Download ccleaner [http://www.ccleaner.com/] and hijackthis [http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/hijackthis.php?page=download]. run hijackthis, save the log file and send it to me in suman_dng@yahoo.com also send me the virus name and the path detected by Avast.

Boot into safe mode, and install the drive cleaner.
I would suggest that you install adaware, windows defender, nod32, spy blaster.
Use 'msconfig.exe' to remove unnecessary startup entries.. generally virus/trojans load up at that time.(this should be first step, do in safe mode)

As to get rid of the history list etc so your dad doesnt see it, use mru-blaster.(Clears all history/cache/recent docs etc.)

Hope it helps. :)
