Wow, these are going to vary A LOT due to individual tastes and situations, but here are mine:
1.motorcycle quality
2.quality of parts
3.good customer service
4.good after sales service (technical-related)
5.low price (fair price for the model)
6. accessibility of branches
7.availability of parts
8.variety of models
9.good financing
I usuallly arrange my own financing, so that is not a big deal for me. I also usually know what bike I want when going to the dealer, and am going for quality as a major consideration. If you have quality, hopefully parts is not such a big deal ;-) Service and accessibility is key to a good customer relationship. The price needs to be fair for the model I am looking for - not over-inflated.

if this your first new bike start looking at the nearest dealer with a full shop in back.( don't worry about the brand ) see how they treat you,set on a few bikes. if you don't like their attitude go to a different brand dealer until you find one that that your comfortable with. this may take quite a while some of them may actually try to get rid of you.
all major company's make good new bikes, its the dealer & service people you need to be concerned about,& you dont want to make a long trip back home everytime you leave your bike to be serviced. so to answer by number 5 -6 -9 - 4 in that order.

sure they are very risky. in spite of the fact that, you're able to do as much as a threat to cut back that possibility! For starters, you opt to placed on as plenty high quality kit as a threat. Helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, boots. and that i'm speaking bike particular kit..denims do no longer postpone. next you opt to take driving courses, such as a results of fact the MSF, to offer you a sturdy historic past and help improve your skills. finally, that's the main needed..you want to be a hundred and ten% conscious of each little thing. different individuals around you, highway floor situations, throttle administration, physique place..etc. you definitely ought to study a thank you to think of activities so as which you will plan forward and get out of a could-be undesirable difficulty. nonetheless, on the tip of the day, that is volatile. there are situations which you purely can no longer sidestep a bad difficulty. yet you are able to cut back all the different negative aspects as much as a threat. that is not any longer for all people, yet once you attempt it, you are able to desire to be sure which you like it extra beneficial than the rest!!

You left out the most important factor, at least in my opinion, when buying a bike. That is the wow factor. If the bike doesn't get your heart racing when you look at it, your mouth drooling and your right wrist twitching, the other factors you listed are not important and you need to find another bike.

ALL those are important!!! i would say all those are REQUIREMENTS. except maybe #8. but a bike NEED all those, and then i would get the best looking. not the best performing, because you are not going to use it in that way anyway.
