Error: The game was unable to connect the Direct3D Device. Make sure your video drivers are installed properly

Question

I just bought Psychonauts for the PC. My computer seems to meet all the minimum requirements, yet I get this error every time!
I installed the game, installed the Direct X that came with it, but on two computers I've gotten this message!

Please help!

MOHR: I download that, still doesn't work.
And my video card isn't one of those listed. :/

So what kind of graphics card do these "two computers" have? Please answer the question, unless it's a secret.

And what did Psychonauts say about its requirements?

It's pretty clear that you do NOT have a compatible video card, and if you can't tell us what you got we can't help you beyond that!

Has something to do with title maybe someone set up to match name as they thought doing so would make sense
