Desire to live forever stems from the desire to enjoy the pleasures for ever , to be lost in the High of Pleasure and never to be Unhappy.

We are enjoying the pleasures made available to us, by Creator, withluke warm involvement and not involving ourselves Totally. leaving it A Desirable Experience. A hangover for pleasure is always with us. And due to this we just hanker for Pleasures and that becomes our Habit. more pleasures and less involvement in enjoying.

The Food we take is washed down.
The Touch we do is not deep.
The listening we do is not total.
The Loving we do is ridden with Haste, Tension and sometimes Guilt or Just for Winning in Boxing Bout we love as if to prove who is superior.

Such way we live and hanker for more If we Totally involve ourselves in enjoying the pleasures ,then automatically the Hankering Disappears slowly but surely.

Since this life is lived like this What Do you Think of Eternity. God is kind that allows us to change our clothes(body) after 70-80-90, Few are tortured till 99-100 years

If we lived forever in this finite world, we could never reproduce/evolve. Only by dying do we give others a chance to live. Only by limiting our time on earth do we learn to prioritize that which we do spend our time on. All things come to an end, but absolutely nothing can ever change anything that has already been (with a few theoretical exceptions that will be unavailable for the foreseeable future).

the cells that make us deteriorate and die, they are replaced by new cells, through cell division and stuff... But the problem is that when the cell divides and copies itself reproducing itself, the next generation cells are worn out a little. My teacher said like when you make a copy of a copy on a xerox machine, the copies lose clarity and eventually become unrecognizable. So what we need is "laser printers" Cells, not xerox cells.

This is also why there's sexual reproduction. The colony of cells eventually dies out by getting old and worn out this way. So what it does is hook up with this other colony/ person and splits DNA, now with two seperate DNA from parents the pre embryo can make one full clear DNA from the two, If one part is not great on one side it can use the link from the mothers side.

This is also why cloning sucks because you will lose this refreshing aspect and eventually end up with a bunch of degraded DNA stock.

Hi ANGEL.

I believe that we do live forever, or some of us. Those who are evil: rapists, child molesters, murderers, serial killers, terrorists, "leaders" such as Hitler, etc., will certainly not live forever.

However, since I am not evil, I believe that I will live forever, though not in the same human form as I am in now.

I believe in God, and I believe that He sent His loving Son down to us in human form, both to teach us how to live & to save us by dying on the cross.

Jesus said, "the way to the Kingdom is through the Father, and the way to the Father is through Me."

I have always believed in Jesus & loved His teachings. How can anyone not feel good about being taught to love others the way you want others to love you.

I feel great joy in knowing that I will live for all eternity with God & all the other people who went on before me. Jesus teaches that we will recognize one another in Heaven, so those who went before me & those who will come after me will all know each other.

What is great feeling that is!

We cannot live our life forever because we are mortals. Man dies as a physical being for God is only the One who is caplable to live forever.

There would be no evolution because survival of the fittest would not be able to work.

There would be no room if we could all also procreate,

Religion could no longer offer us life everlasting.

We would be wrecks unless we got rid of aging.

We would be bored.

We would have nothing to look forward to of fear.

On a cosmic level, that is the way the universe IS.

So that future generations will have opportunites like us to reshape the world like it is today and enjoy the benefits this world brings to them, just like how we enjoyed what the previous generations had done for us.

Anyway, when we die, I believe we'll all go to heaven, where we'll be rid of all stress in life we face here in this world. We have to rest our souls someday too right? So let the future generations take over and have their say, like how we are given this privilege as well. :)

Because we live in a sinful world and because God can't allow sinful people to live forever, if non sinful people had access to the tree of life then the sinful ones would too.
