I don't know I think it was horrible what he did and should be banned from the NFL but if he really changed shouldn't the public forgive him?

No but they will forget about him when the next scandal comes along.

If he does 2-3 years in prison I will forgive him and let him live his life in peace - as long as he doesn't try to get back into the NFL. The NFL as well as the other major sports needs to ban anyone convicted of a felony. We don't need those types influencing our kids. There are quite a few others that should be tossed on their ears too! The Canadian Football league judges more harshly than the NFL! NO FELONS ALLOWED !!!

Two or three years from now........he'll be finely honed by his lawyers and Sharpton or Jackson.....asking forgiveness and giving a token donation to an animal shelter. The media will lap it up and forgive him. And, the fact he is black, helps. Just remember what Whoopi Goldberg said on The View....she essentially excused his behavior because she claimed it was a cultural thang.

If he were white, he'd be ruined for life.

What disgusts me is that he will not serve much time in jail. And, he has not apologized to the memory of the dogs he killed so sadistically. Instead he claims he's found Jesus (don't they all!).

Vick is a sadistic thug. He was given a top-notch college education and was on one of the best Pro Football teams making multi-millions. Financially, he is set for life. He was a rude punk before his latest trouble. Now we all know he's also a sadist and liar as well.

He needs forgiveness from those dead dogs and the ones that were barely alive and abused. He hasn't the conscience to realize that. I wonder if he even has a soul.

It is going to depend on him. If he keeps his smarmy attitude and does nothing to try and rebuild his image, then no. In 2-3 years, the public will once again relive his fall form grace with the news media quick to exploit it.

However, if buddies up to the media and has his PR go into overtime trying to get on the media's good side by granting all access interviews and posing for the ever-popular PSA, then the media will drown the airwaves with how much he has changed and how he should be forgiven.

I just hope Goodell doesn't lose his fervor and give in. The best thing for the league right now is to disassociate itself with all the "gangstas" and put forth the type of product it has always prided itself on. Look at the NBA. They embraced the "hip-hop, gangsta" persona and their fan base decreased along with their ratings and revenue.

I think the public will forget before they forgive. I’m not trying to diminish what he did, however, in general the public has a short attention span. A few scandals later, it will soon be forgotten. Besides, we have an election coming up, be sure to expect drama surrounding that.

I don't think I will ever forgive him. He claims that he is sorry and that he found Jesus, but I think it's just him trying to get some sympathy. I think he's more sorry that he got caught than he is for killing those dogs. He is a grown man and knew from the beginning that it was wrong to be doing what he was doing, but he did it anyways. He claims that he grew up, but for gods sake how long does it take a 27 year old man to grow up. He's a sad person and I feel no remorse for him whatsoever.

Nope, I for one will NeVER forgive that cretin. It would be different if this had been a one time thing, but considering it was his ENTERTAINMENT of choice for over six years, he has pretty well demonstrated what he is made of, and he disgusts me and he always will. I hate him and I will always hate him.
