Here is one of my favourite quotes:
'The mind is its own place and in itself can make a heaven of hell, and a hell of heaven'.
John Milton.

I believe this to be true...
Meditation experts can train the mind to experience a positive attitude, no matter what is going on around them.
People who are experiencing emotional suffering or people with a mental illness can experience great pain and suffering, even if their surroundings are comfortable and safe.

I think that your 'heaven' refers to reaching a state of joy & bliss within ourselves and your 'hell' refers to the state of suffering.
How do we reach the heaven that you refer to?
A jolly good question... i'm forever striving for it... and i think that it helps to have some kind of spiritual path in life... whether its a personal one, a buddhist path, a taoist path, a follower of jesus etc.
But it can't be a blind path... you have to continuously search and ask questions and challenge your own beliefs.
Learning to let go of negativity & any unhealthy mental baggage (ego, a stagnant self-identity etc), to accept yourself for exactly what you are, to nurture love and compassion are part of this path (in my opinion).

The attituide of people creates the Hell or Hell on Earth. The answer could be Hell does not have to be the way it is written of in The Bible it could be written of as a democracy where everyone is given a vote and so can be turned into a pleasent place neither Purgatory,Heaven or Hell, Hell is within our minds and The Gates open to let The Devil out during wafare as this is what The Devil thrives on.

Heaven and Hell (if they do exist) are just a state of mind. The religions have had thousands of years to prove their existence and they continue to come up empty handed. The only proof that they have is that someone said so. Avoid religion if you can for explanations on how to get there because for every religion, you'll get a different explanation. Just follow the Golden Rule and you'll have no problem.

Metaphorically speaking, this is true... However... the choices we make, whether good or bad, creates the platform within which we lead our lives. The life we lead will tend to reflect the "heaven" or "hell" that we create by our actions.

Some people think that heaven or hell waits for us after we die. I was taught that "...as above ... so below..."

We must live and die with the choices we make and that creates the Heaven or hell that we look forward to or are afraid of.

I believe that the gates are your mind and thoughts, you avoid hell by leaning sin and bad thought outside your reasonable thinking within everyday life and you don't choose heaven you earn it.

I think the gate is in our mind.
If our life is soo miserable like hell. Then it's up to us to make heaven out of hell. We can still be happy and feel like in heaven in spite of the misery. Be contented on what you have - live a simple life and work harder to achieve your dreams.

evaluate the actuality that Dante Alleghieri composed the Divine Comedy as an allegory for the medieval Christian ethical gadget. Then evaluate that it reads greater like a excursion handbook than an action interest. All that the video interest teaches you is the thank you to play the video interest. It makes use of characters and places from the Inferno, yet it particularly is approximately it.

The gates of heaven are in our hearts, always cherished by others. The gates of hell are in our bad habits, sometimes cherished and sometimes condemned by others.
