I just got a sweet deal on this computer ($800)
It has a pentium 3 300MHz and 64mb of SDRAM. Don't get me started on how sweet this thing is. I'm trying to install vista, but the CD won't fit in the floppy drive. This is making me really angry
Help me

Do I have to fold the vista DVD in half before I put it in?

I actually DO have a way to install Vista onto that PC, You must meet the following requirements, though:

1. a 20 gig hard drive
2. 256 MB of RAM.

Copy the contents of the Vista DVD to the hard drive, preferably into it's own folder. Replace the "winsetup.dll" with the one from:

http://files.filefront.com//;6799238;;/

Now run the setup program. After a check to see if your computer meets the requirements (which it doesn't but it no longer cares), Setup will spend approximately 15 hours copying the files to the hard drive, even though they are already there. Your computer will restart, and, if your lucky, Vista will be able to as well. The setup program will continue setting up stuff that you will not be able to use, anyway, like the Aero interface, Windows Defender, etc.. After you select your background picture and CUTE little picture that nobody cares about, Vista will run a performance test (again), just so you can see for yourself that you have 1.0 all across the board. If you are lucky enough to have your computer not die from the agony, or have not killed yourself, you will be presented with a Desktop so stunning, you'll barely notice that you can't move your mouse normally. Push the Windows key, wait 10 minutes, then make your way to the "Run" thing. Start it, and type in MSCONFIG.Uncheck every box under every tab. You will now see Vista in all the splendor that looks exactly like Windows 200, only slower. Congratulations! You are now running Vista!
