Craig issue.... a guy who isn't actually charged with having sex in a bathroom... yet they have no problem with Slick Willy degrading the Oval Office?

If Craig broke an ethics code I think he should resign.... just like any other Political leader. That simple enough?

subwlim.... yes... I see your point... Soliciting sex from Monica and having Sex in the Oval Office to show the world that our President isn't there to run the affairs of the country but the affairs of his pants is not even close to what Craig did...

JayBee... READ THE QUESTION! Unlike you libs we hold the republicans that mess up responsible. CAN YOU NOT SEE THIS? The "question" was a reference to back my point. AGAIN, SOMETHING YOU LIBS RARELY DO. Clinton is used to show the double standard and hypocrisy....

GRAB A CLUE!!

Jaybee.... again... most people will use the prior administration as a comparison... nothing new here... you don't see me going back to that major screw up Carter do you?

Reach a little harder for that clue...

Kylie... are you kidding? Clinton ONLY appologized for one reason... HE GOT CAUGHT! And his hypocrisy is rampant... he lied about it and "claimed" to love his wife... and lied to a court od law. I'm sorry... saying Bill Clinton's actions are better than Craigs is just silly.

I am a liberal- a real liberal, not the clinton kind. And a democrat. I think the reason that the Craig case came out how and when it did, was to sweep the Clinton's acceptance of money from a fugitive under the table.

It worked. Craig is still all over the news, and the fugitive donations are not even a line item. That's how this is played.

It is dirty politics time, people want the votes, anything is possible, especially if the opposing party can catch them outside the authority of the Capitol Police.
Unarresting is what happens when a Capitol Police officer has the misfortune to learn, after having made an arrest, that the person charged is a member of Congress. In that case, a supervisor is called, and he drives the member of Congress home. No record is made of the arrest. In other words, it is covered up.

That's simple enough for me. I believe there have been wrongs on both sides of the fence, except the screams of condemnation are heard much louder when there are reports of illicit/ illegal activity with the Republicans. When the Dems are caught at such things, it's like, "Well boys will be boys!" And it's ok. At least Republicans do not hold with scandalous actions in their camp.

To be honest, I hear the media making a lot more noise about the Craig issue than any politician. I don't know all the details of what happened, but he did open a can of worms for himself by pleading guilty to whatever the charges were.

I'm someone who would generally be classified as liberal, but I honestly could care less about a person's sex life as long as they aren't going after little kids or forcing themselves on unwilling people. I believe that what a person does behind closed doors is none of my business - even if they're banging their secretary in their office or having taboo encounters in airport restrooms.

Who was actually on the other side of the divider. This kind of crap is going to accelerate now that we are close to a THE major election.

What if he was a Democrat or even carried a Liberal lable of any kind? They would have said and done NOTHING and said, "Him? Gay? Everybody knew that! Where you been?"

And Clinton was arrested when?

And the booking photo of Clinton would be located where?

And exactly who called for Craig to resign?

"Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said, "I think he's in serious trouble, but I would like to see the evidence before the ethics committee before I would call for his resignation"

Sen. Norm Coleman, Sen. John McCain, Rep. Pete Hoekstra along with OTHER Republicans did call for him to resign.

Is this simple enough for you?

First of it was the republicans who were pressing for the resignation of Craig not the democrats. Secondly it's the republicans who run on the high moral and christian grounds not the democrats.
With that said I think it's a shame he resigned. He should have never caved into the pressure, he should have been a true republican and stayed the course.

He broke the law, rather publicly. He admitted to it, and that makes him guilty.

I have noticed that a lot of democrats who anointed Clinton as their patron saint want to burn Craig on the stake. I've also noticed republicans who wanted to crucify Clinton think Craig did nothing wrong.
