All Physics Theories or most of them anyway come off as if Matter atoms, electrons,..ect..ect.. is everything...but Space it would appear is much more prevalent than matter.

agreed.

but think about it.

an atom is actually about 99.99% empty space too.
aprox. .001% is made up of the electrons neutrons and protons

Really hard to toss out a definition of space. You could say that space is where there's absolutely no mass. But then we know that mass is just another form of energy...any energy no matter how tiny. It's doubtful then that any piece of the universe, no matter how tiny, wouldn't have at least some energy / mass. By splitting hairs like this we'd be forced to say that there's no such thing as true, absolute space.

Guess it's just all semantics : (

Space is one of the few fundamental quantities in physics, meaning that it cannot be defined via other quantities because there is nothing more fundamental known at present. Thus, similar to the definition of other fundamental quantities (like time and mass), space is defined via measurement. Currently, the standard space interval, called a standard meter or simply meter, is defined as the distance traveled by light in a vacuum during a time interval of exactly 1/299792458 of a second. This definition coupled with present definition of time makes our space-time to be Minkowski space and makes special relativity absolutely correct simply by definition.

Space is a tangible medium in that every thing in it derives from it.
It preceded all else and what we see in it is a manifestation of it.
It is detectable because of the existence of what we experience. I think.

'Empty space' is just that...... Nothingness. But in reality, even in the -really- empty spaces between the Galaxies, you'll find a stray molecule of hydrogen every few km ☺

i believe your answer lies in quantom physics. ive done research on this in the past and remember it making a lot of sense (although i dont remember what the actual answer was) hope this is a good lead. id say google quantom physics and space.
