I'd tell her that it is a form of abuse, and child protective services should intervene... she needs counseling to deal with her issues as well as the child.

I would say "so you dint like being a mother then? You want your child to die or be a very scared girl? You want child protection to come in and take your children away? OK, I will save you all the trouble and call child protection for you now and have her taken away!"

I really hope that this is just hypothetical! Being bulimic is very serious, trust me, i been there!

I would not say nothing to the fool, but would report her to child services cos I consider that to be a form of abuse.

it is very sad but does happen. it's a pyschological problem of the mother who is not happy with her own look and wishes for better for her child-it's a mad world!!!!
