I have this guy feeling like he needs Chatman as insurance for Ronnie Brown. I just can't tell if Chatman is really going to get any carries to make a fantasy impact. I feel like his value may be the highest it can get unless Brown gets hurt, so should I do this trade?

I have Brandon Jacobs, Deuce McAllister, Marion Barber, and Ladell Betts at running back as well. Not the best group of guys, but 3 of them will get the goalline carries and Betts could be a great back if Portis goes down. I have Randy McMichael at TE, but he is on a Rams team that has a lot of options and he probably won't get as many looks at Daniels will in Houston.

Your thoughts?

I'd let the season play a little so you can make a better decision. Keep Chatman for now until you can determine more of his fantasy value. Don't cut a potential gold mine, even if it's not very shiny right now. To be honest, I would cut Barber before Chatman since Ronnie Brown gets hurt a lot.

Tight ends are a dime a dozen and there should be one available on your bye week who can help.

Owen daniels is going to be a great TE... and Schaub will probably look to him a lot seeing as he is inexperienced. However, I wouldn't give away chatman just for Daniels. Attempt to get something else along with Daniels. I would make this guy/girl grab their ankles for the handcuff. Within reason obiviously or they won't bite, but I wouldn't give it to him for somebody you might not even start much. Look at it this way, you are practically giving him a monopoly for some random space on the board. I'm sure he isn't in need of TE and is anybody really? So many TE are hit/miss. Even the great Gates was last season! Don't take unless there's more. Even if you have to give up another Bench player for a decent one. There has to be more options, otherwise just sit tight!
