Talk about a slow and painful death.. I mean, who wants to die being gummed to death?

You get a new lease on life -- not meaning you become a zombie, just that you got lucky. Chances are unlikely for that to happen though. I've heard some zombies are learning to use guns, knives, and other weapons now-a-days.

Pretty useless when it comes to biting (can't break the skin) but still has fingernails and blood to infect so still somewhat of a threat.
