I once walked into a McDonald's out in some farming community that had a double filet o fish sandwich for a good price. I cant find one at any other McDonald's, and when I ordered one at my local Mcdonald's it confused all the damm workers, so much so that the manager had to get involved. He ended up trying to charge me for two filet o fishes.I said fuggedaboudit !!Any one know wher I can get one of these ??

McDonalds did a promotion for a double filet of fish sandwish about a year and a half ago. I haven't seen them redo it again since, but I remember them, they were good.

When the promotion ran, they had displays and all kinds of point of sale stuff up.

But like all minimum wage workers, if its not on the menu, speak slowly, repeat and the repeat again.

And there is no way you will get it for that cheap again, at least not until they rerun the special again.

When you go into a fast food place and they no longer have a promotion going there is no need to get huffy and get mad at the manager. They are not the ones that make the rules. I absolutely HATE it when someone comes into the MC Donald's where I work and they get mad because we no longer have the 2 for $2 sausage egg muffins. Remember when you see these ads they DO say "Limited time offer" and or "Participation may vary". Not all Mc Donald's have the same promotions. The one I work at doesn't have the Angus burger, and we also do not have the 39 cent ice cream cones.

I recall a media blitz invovling a double decker fillet of fish about 1 1/2 yrs ago but nothing since. Try emailing McD's and requesting they make it available again atleast as a promotional thing...Maybe then the NASTY Angus burgers will go away.

It was just a special they were running. I remember them as well. But I don't think it's always available, and that's why they were so confused I guess. You could e-mail McDonalds and request the special come back. They get tons of e-mail like that all the time, and really try to listen to what people like, dislike, etc and run the specials around that.

Some of the STL area McD's have the double fish filet, but not all.

Filet of fish is the only sandwich I order, but never a double. One slab of fish is enough. You bamboozled the mgr. Not a common order, I'm sure.

It was a local option, and your local McOpCo doesn't do. If you can find a manager with a brain, they will understand to just charge you for extra meat (we usually did a bacon charge). Good luck
