I'm sure if this went to court your landlord will say he had no such agreement with you...so unless you have an agreement for storage in writing...most judges will view this as an abandoned property issue.

File a suit in civil court for the return of your stuff. Have the witnesses come to court and provide testimony. Essentially, the police are saying that you cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that your landlord and another tenant stole your stuff, thus filing criminal charges is a waste of time as you will not get a conviction. You may be able to prove that in all likelihood your landlord and another tenant took your property, which would be sufficient to win a civil case.

Duh....call the cops? F them. Don't you just want to go in and take it all back yourself. You got any brothers? What about your husbands friends? Go kick some @ss and get your $hit. Take em to court, IF you win what are you gonna get? The court will depreciate everything and then you have to actually collect something. Good luck. Go get your $hit.

Try Judge Judy. Seriously though small claims court maybe your only resort.

It should have been easier to use public storage, $1 for the first month of storage. I wouldn't have trusted anyone with my stuff!

God damn people, why don't you take the law into your own hands - I can't be policing my entire jurisdiction!!
