Ok i know the question sounds funny. But could it be that in people's early-mid 20s they might not know what to do with their life? That they're still trying to figure out who they are, what they're into and their values?
Is that why ppl travel before they have a full-time job? So that they can explore the world first and figure stuff out? Any tips on how to handle a quarter-life crisis?
Or do you think someone just made up the concept so that ppl have one more thing to complain about?

The common mid-life crisis is the refusal to acknowledge the fact that equipment and appearance failure is approaching with age.
The quarter life crisis is the refusal to accept you can't have it all but still try to kill yourself to achieve it.
The one/eighth life crisis is, though just a temporary and unacknowledged point, is the fact that the bars close at a specific time. It also occurs at the end of football season or any other male endorsed activity.

I know someone who did.

A former friend had 2 kids early, 1 at 19 & the other at 21, giving 1 up for adoption & kept the other one. By the time she turned 25 4 yrs later, she was using drugs, drinking, smoking both pot & cigarettes. She also slept with a LOT of men. Her job changed almost yearly due to her behaviour. I wasn't in her life at the time...we'd had a HUGE fight & I told her off.

When we reconnected, I found myself embroiled as her moral compass. We've since parted AGAIN as friends. She's also up to almost the same behaviour, losing 2 places to live & lives with family, changing jobs 3 times & almost lost her son in a custody battle. I'm NOT about to be her friend again. I've had more than my fill.

How do you handle someone going thru one? It's not easy. Sometimes, they get so one sided about what they want & to heck with everyone & everything else. Remind them that their choices now have consequences immediately or later on.

Try to be supportive in what they're doing, if you can. If you can't, then spend less time around the person.

I've said the same thing.....
Depends how long you're going to live. If you die at 50 then you could have a mid life crisis at 25. :)

You can have it as soon as you are able to think. It would be called an existential crisis. Many gifted and introspective children have it at a very young age.

So yes it's possible

Such crises don;t regulate themselves in to a quarter ,half or three fourth. It's an indicative way and nothing more.Things happen when they happen and one should face them as they come.

I would say yes. Though obviously not for the same hormonal reasons. Psychologically though, yes.
