I think we would get a lot better idea about how much they extract from us if we had to send it in.

So true... people don't think about it because they never see it... this is why it is done this way.... I also love it when people talk about their refund check as if it is a present from the government... It's YOUR money the you overpaid people....

Yes, and we'd be even more upset knowing how much aid money went to nonAmericans when some Americans are in bad situations themselves.

No freakin' way. I'd forget to send 'em in and then I'd be in that much more financial hot water.

I compare my gross pay to my net pay and THAT makes me aware enough of how much is being taken out.

As it is, what I net is pretty gross, compared to what I gross.

Why stop there,why don't we just send our money to mexico,since that's where it will eventualy land anyway
