Ok, I have to say this. Openly and honestly. With tonight's loss and Cleveland's win they are 7 games out. I pretty much think The division is out of reach, especially with the way they have been playing lately. I still have hopes for the wild card, but that wont be easy.
IF My Boys miss the play-offs I will be majorly disappointed, but I'll get over it (sooner or later).
I want to say openly that if The Tigers so miss the play-offs and Cleveland wins I will be rooting for Cleveland to go all the way.
I'll still be here, you cant rid o fme that easy.lol.
My question is basically can they still make the play-offs?

Awww did the Tigers come back down to earth this year? Look one trip to the playoffs doesn't erase the 15-20 years that you failed to make the playoffs and were the joke of baseball most of those years. Don't think you have any room to dog the Yankees because you don't the Yankees have backed up their smack talk with more championships then any team in professional sports history so you don't have room to dog the Yankees.
The Tigers are not as good as the Yankees and you'll never have one of the best seasons in baseball history. The Yankees have four seasons that easily top any of the Tigers top seasons in the history of the game, 1998, 1939, 1961 and 1927 all own any top year for the Tigers.
The Tigers don't have any pitching; they only have three reliable starters in Verlander, Bonderman and Robertson and the latter two are a joke save Verlander who's been good but not lights out. Then lets move on to the bullpen; Zumaya hasn't been all that, Rodney has never been all that, Jones is a joke. Face it the Tigers don't have it. Thanks for taking Sheffield off our shoulders by the way he'll be nothing but a clubhouse cancer and is injury prone and old at this point in his career.
But go ahead and keep dogging the Yankees we'll have the last laugh there.

To have hope that they still make the playoffs is saying you think they can actually win a game. These pricks have let me down one too many times the past few weeks.
Tonight was sad, the loudest cheer in the stadium all night was when some dude in the first row of the upper deck leaned over and made a nice snag on a foul ball. They've sent too many sell out crowds home dissapointed the past two months. It was great to see all the empty seats tonight.....enough if enough.
I've officially given up on these pukes.

As of now, there is no October for the Tigers.
Hurts, doesn't it? I know a thing or two about the kind of pain. After all, I am a Knicks fan.
However, the unpredictable Yankees and the NJ Nets, my second favorite basketball team, and coffee, keep me going.
By the way, since when all these Yahoo users in the baseball section turned into poets?

honestly i dont think so. I'm not just saying this b/c im a Yankee fan but i really dont think so. They don't really have a reliable starter other than Verlander and he hasnt been lights out. Bondy hasn't been himself and has shown no signs of turning it around, Miller is too young to lead a ball club to the playoffs, etc etc... They also dont have a set rotation -- they only have Verlander, Bondy and Robertson as consistently starting SP's. Their pen is iffy -- Zumaya isn't hitting his usual 99 and 100 MPH b/c of his injury and Jones just is awful. Then the others are just alright. No one who is very reliable. The injury to Sheffield, hurts the Tigers a ton! Now its really just Maybin, Magz, Granderson and Guillen. Maybin is too young like i said for Miller to lead a team to the playoffs.

Georgie. You know your team all too well.
I watched part of the game after i saw the score after 5 innings.
I don't want to get rid of you, i like your banter and sense of humor.
They still could make it if they don't get swept by the White Sox .
BTW, i have tickets to the game on September 28 here in Chicago.
Maybe it will come down to those last 3 games, ya never know.
Isn't it funny that the White Sox have the second best record in the division next to the Indians and they're in last place?

I'm with you ...I'm a die-hard Tiger fan...But I'll be rooting for Cleveland if the Tigers don't make it
I wanted them to beat Florida in 96 or 97 whenever it was
I do believe that if the Tigers get hot , they'll make the Wild card easily....

The tiger could for sure win. because of the fact they are bigger, extra suitable and extra aggressive. yet lions are extra concept to be extra suitable because of the fact they hunt in communities, jointly as a tiger is a lone hunter. i flow with tiger.

There's still 25 days left in the season and they're like 5 out in the WC? Anything can happen! One thing's for certain, if they keep making bone-headed plays like they've been, then it's gonna be a long 3 weeks. LOL

I know how you feel Georgie. My Yankees may not make, and they have been in the playoffs for over ten years straight. It just won't seem like the same game. But I will always back them. They are the Yankees for crying out loud!!!LOL.
