I like been noticed for sure...... i think it's a compliment.
I think that it depends on how a woman presents herself as to what type of attention she'll get.
If she dresses provocative then guys will feel more compelled to stare and comment in a sexual manner, if she wears things that make her sexy to a guy without being revealing then guys tend to be more respectful.
I really believe that a guys reaction is dependant on the image that a woman potrays of herself. If women dress like they have respect for themselves than most of the time men tend to treat them that way.

I agree with Lindsay on everything she said.
And most women that basically dress up as sluts (or "to kill") want to be noticed and honestly I think if they get offended men are staring then they need to realize they shouldn't dress like that. But when I go out in jeans and a tank top that completely covers me up I don't want to be stared at and have rude/stupid comments coming when I'm just trying to go buy some paper for my printer or something!
Being stared at is uncomfortable and also dirty comments make me feel unsafe and uncomfortable depending on where I am.

*Rolls eyes* First of all, usually the ones who are "dressed to kill" are not the ones who don't like being stared at. And secondly - there is a difference between being *stared* at and having people *notice* you. It is rude to stare, and it can make people feel uncomfortable (especially when coming from the opposite sex). I think most women would rather be *noticed* than *stared* at. And just because one woman likes doing one thing, it really doesn't mean that every other woman is the same. EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT !!!! All women are not the same, just as all men aren't the same.

I totally know what you mean!! So many woman these days get upset and feel "violated" or "disrespected" when men look at them or whistle or make comments about their looks... yet they are wearing hardly any clothes and showing off their breasts, leaving nothing to the imagination and looking like a hoe. If they didn't want attention from people and didn't want anyone to look at them in a sexual way then they shouldn't be dressing like they should be standing on a corner.

I don't mind having men look at me just as long as they only look. What's offensive is when they whistle, make crude comments, and gesture at me.
