It's natural. But....I think some of it can be taught! I remember my best friend in High School "teaching" me how to lie "better" to my parents so I wouldn't get caught for whatever mischeivious thing we happened to be doing!
Nature vs. Nuture? I say it's a combination.

I personally it is a survival instinct or defense mechanism. What if Hilter asked you where all of the jews ran to? Are you going to just say, "no I won't tell", or are you going to throw him off the right path. I'm assuming of course that you think it would be good to keep the jews safe. Basically, I think it is sometimes necessary. Like the U.S. denying that we have spies in China, when they're government asks for example. I'm probably going to be the only one who thinks this. How about have you ever had thoughts of suicide or homocide while enlisting or for your job or whatever?

of course it comes naturally to most of the people. in school they tell you not to lie and parents should be teachin you not to lie and tell the truth all the time. thass what my parents used to do but i lie because it comes naturally

WHAT-Me lie? NEVER!! lol =D I may exaggerate a little on occassion, but I surely don't lie! (You're lucky you're so cute and ask such good questions or I might be offended!) jk-Some I've learned and some came natural.....
