It is more important than ever to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. The American businesses are the main problem. They are afraid it will hurt their businesses. Please contact your congressmen/women to continue to put pressure on them that this is unacceptable.

Yes, first answer is correct. Calderon is wanting this because he wants illegals to continue to send their money to Mexico to feed Mexico's economy.

Why is Mexico leaving it up to us to fix Mexico? My grandfather came from Mexcio and was here legally paying taxes to the federal government. My grandmother was Cherokee Indian, so do not talk to me about what happen to the Native Americans sovernity. I know about it first hand.

The Mexicans don't agree. They have family ties to Mexico. But they're not a piece of the nation. Every Mexican living here would rather have been born here. Every Mexican we have in our borders is a better American than one payed to not work. Our national sovereignty isn't threatened, their culture is leaving them faster than the people. They'll soon lose any skilled laborers, and become either a desolate/religious wasteland like Utah, or a gambling/ resort attraction, like Florida meets Nevada. The Mexican president is a puppet with strings held by drug lords. These strings do not hold the Mexican people within our borders.

Seems like he's just pushing all of the responsibility on to the other side of the border. Maybe he should do some work to fix up his country so that they don't leave. I'm all for legal immigration, but illegal immigration needs to be controlled and the US is well within our rights to try and control it.

No surprise here. He wants Mexicans in the US because the money they make their fuels the Mexican economy. In fact it is the second largest source of federal income for the country other then tourism. He also doesn't like the fact that we our finally starting to crack down on illegals. About time, Bush.

It's funny that you don't mention the number of times the US has violated the SOVEREIGNTY of Latin American nations during that past 200 years. You should be glad that Calderon is president. Had he lost the election in 2006, Lopez Obrador would have been president and he is another Hugo Chavez.

You really should LISTEN to what he said.

Often times it is better to let the world think you aren't all that bright than open your mouth and leave no doubt.

He said that Mexico would defend it's citizens wherever they may be.

The United States has always done that, why would you attempt to condemn them for doing the right thing for their citizens?
