I need to find a website (not search engine or school site) that will provide specific help to me as an online student. This is an assignment and I'm confused. Please Help

sorry i confused you. MY assignment is to find a website that will help me as an online student. I know stupid assignment. Does anyone know of a site that is not a search engine that can help me as a student?

This isn't a difficult question at all - why the problems understanding it? Just analyze through. Since you're an online student, you need to know about online resources. That's all this is about.
So, Google is #1 and your school online library is #2 but what else might we online students need to read about online?
http://www.Dictionary.com is a regular on my list of online school tools.
My studies are now heavily social sciences based so I use census data very often. My favorite source for Federal statistics is http://www.fedstats.gov/ really useful.
Now, if you need to understand a little about the process of being an online/distance student, then there are a few sources to read, not the least is the US Dept. of Education on funding the costs of this education. http://www.ed.gov/index.jhtml
Too, you might want to read about distance learning in some detail http://www.geteducated.com/ has some interesting reading indeed. It also has a lot of "specific help" for online students. ☺
Think through the assignment with the idea that the purpose is for you to recognize specific online sources of reliable information. Yahoo Answers is probably not one of those reliable sources. Wikipedia is a cool starting place but you need to verify what you find there.
