I think they both are ridiculous, at least this time we are lucky enough to have the president to blame it on, instead of blaming the soldiers. At least our soldiers are being treated with respect, vietnam vets were spit on and called names when they came home from the war.

I think it is ridiculous that we have no idea why either war was waged other than some vague ideas like freedom and democracy. Which we don't even have here.

Absolutely. We didn't put Ho Chi Minh in power the way we did Sadam.

Other than that, it's pretty much the same thing--America's enemies laying a trap and a fool rushing into and insisting on staying.

Only in this case, America's President works for the Raghead Oil Sheikhs who laid the trap. And he did most of the work of setting it up himself.

And most meaningless and unjust.
The war for OIL and regional domination in which thousands of innocent lives, women and children included are perished.

Not to mention bush's credulous attempt, greed and thirst for power!

SHAME ON HIM for all the lost blameless souls and wish he and cheney rot in hell.

No, so far I think the Vietnam war was much more ridiculous because liberals stooped so low as to spit on military men then. But I expect, as things are going now, to see that tragedy soon enough from the left.
