I don't understand why people aren't outraged.

I have a teenage son and I remember when he was smaller being absolutely terrified of allowing him in a men's room alone. I shouldn't have to feel this way.

This is a huge problem in our country today and the fact that a US Congressman was caught is DISTURBING. Where is the outrage, where is the concern for the victims of this type of crime?

The fact that an undercover cop caught him is a relief. I'm glad to know the police force is spending time on this.

This isn't about being gay or not being gay. This is about behaving in a decent and moral manner. I know alot of gay people and they are all as outraged as I am about this. It's beyond disturbing. He should get prison time, he should know better.

I was just wondering, what was the crime? Assuming that this Senator was gay and looking for another gay guy. To me, this foot tapping jazz seems like some kind of test gay people do to see if the guy next to them is gay, too. I am not gay but I have always assumed gay people must have some way of subtly checking if another person is gay.

If moving the foot toward another guy's is a test then tapping it must be some kind of flirtation. But even if it is, is that a crime? What if a gay man comes up to a guy in a mens room and asks him out on a date? Is that a crime, too?

I don't want anyone having sex in public restrooms. But no one was having sex in this bathroom. I don't want people soliciting for prostitution in public restrooms either but I see no evidence of this either. I still don't know what crime or disorderly persons charge this could possibly be?

Help me out. here.

I can't believe this got the news coverage that it did. I couldn't believe the Lewinsky scandal got the news coverage it did either. We Americans have to get rid of this Puritan facade we have been carrying around for the last four centuries.
