That is seriously something that I heard today..... I won't tell you what I thought, I'm looking to hear what you think?

Arvin, Great idea but when you look at what he stands for and what he's done...it's hard to look pas that and think of him being a "good person". Good people don't sleep well at night knowing that they're resonsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

And just so you know, it's NOT a political party issue. I like Bush, HATE Chaney...because I've studied/done my research.

Stone - - It was someone who's so wraped up in being a "party" member that he's unwilling to recognize the faults of any party member. It was actually in context to debating the next presidential canidiate. He said, "I'd vote for ANY republican, they're ALL GREAT MEN" and I said, "All of them? Even Dick Chaney" and that's when he said what he did...He was trying to say that each and every member of the republican party is wonderful and blameless....

People said that about Nixon days before he resigned.

As a Libertarian who likes Bush, I must say the following:

99 percent of all politicians give the other 1 percent a bad name.

I hope this helps clarify my position.

I think all politicians are misunderstood, but that is due in large part to their having to have a public persona they present to the world.

Now, talking about this statement in particular, I'd need to know the context to decide. Was it an apologist for Cheney's policy decisions? Was it someone close to him who knows him well?

I have a lot of respect for the Vice President. I think he is a good man and is more willing to speak his mind than any politician I've ever heard on a national level. I just wouldn't go hunting with him.

Dick Chaney is sometimes misunderstood and that's why it's best to know people before you start judging them.

Surely you jest. I know a stone cold prikk when I see one. What's to misunderstand about that?
