questions that ENKI has asked as well as the answers he has picked to be the best answer??

Some ppl have suggested that ENKI and some top contributors' questions and answers are deep and thoughtful but somehow I don't see much depth...do you?

don't get me wrong i am not suggesting that their questions or answers are poor, just that they seem to favour certain ppl and certain type of reasoning.

Yes I agree. in fact this is what i said in another post. But then isn't this supposed to be the philosophy section and NOT the opinions & Polls section?

Most people don't want a deep and thoughtful answer. They want to be entertained quickly & to be made to feel.

Just a theory, pehaps a just one.

I find that the best questions & the best answers make you think about them after you've left the site. That's just my opinion.

No. Same with flutterbyyyyr or however he spells his name. Nearly obnoxious is the word that comes to mind. Certainly their questions have nothing to do with actual philosophy. Granted, this is to be fun here. But sometimes the mindless clutter seems annoying and a waste of time. Yet, apparently some people think that cutesy word plays, false dilemmas, and inane questions over how people feel, and similar rhetoric, are deep, wise, and thought provoking. Sort of like believing that colored handprints randonly placed all over a framed canvas is the work of genius. Inundations of such things cheapen the overall lanscape.

I see one posted here right now. It is "when your mind is stuck between floors, which button do you push?" Waste of people's time! The asker must be laughing at anybody who takes it seriously. I wonder if such a person is psychopathic after a while. You know, messing with people's heads with no conscience over it, on the grounds that it is there to do. Such people are not playing like the rest of us are playing.

Deep thinkers are often very troubled in their day to day lives.

Depth is not my goal.
