(it wasn't my partner, someone else's)

I don't think there is any such thing as "just" a kiss. There's got to be more to it. There was some level of desire that drew one person to kiss the other, and that "other" person to accept the kiss. Be it a physical desire or the desire to get to know the person on a deeper level. I would be pretty pissed off if my guy went and kissed some chick then tried to claim it didn't mean anything. OF COURSE - I must add - if it was one of those kiss-on-the-cheek types that are given out of respect, well, that's ok, but of course, that's a completely different situation (and I assume that's not the case here).

For me it would depend on the type of a kiss...If he's just kissing some other girl on the cheek or forehead I'd be okay with it...However if he kisses her like he kisses me...with the same amount of passion and sensuality I'd be ticked as hell since it's something intimate that the two of us share...

Hmm have you seen the Matrix where Persephone (Monica Bellucci) ask Neo for a kiss...the first time he kissed her it didn't really count...it was just a kiss because there was no real passion or intimacy on the second kiss she asked him to kiss her as if he was kissing his true love. When people are kissing like that who're not there partners...there should be cause for concern.

A kiss on the cheek is harmless, at least in latin culture, 'cause we're cool like that. But a full 'lips on' kiss will make me drop my partner from ever taking part in any aspects of the rest of my life. Shortly it's goodbye time. A kiss on the mouth is like sealing the deal. Like at weddings.

ONLY a kiss? I think that a kiss is to express your love to someone and I wouldn't want my partner to be expressing their love to someone else (even if they were drunk) I would probably dump them because I wouldn't want to always be worrying that they are making out with other girls when I am not around. And, you know what they say, "Once a cheater, always a cheater."

what degree of kissing? there are lots of kinds of kisses. If they are friends, no big deal. If it was a "real" kiss, like lips and a long time, no way. That would be a sure warning sign of bad things to come

Well no matter what the case, its not right, that's for sure.
But there are a very few situations where we have to forgive. You already know the situation here, so I won't go into details. But once you're married and there are kids involved you have to try a little harder to forgive in certain situations.

Depends on who they kissed, what their relationship is with them (old friend, relative, co-worker, etc.) and how they kissed them (mouth, cheek, ahem [halla halla]) .

Yeah? I only slept with that chick you didn't like, not like it meant anything, I thought you would like that I'd use her.
