So I was asked to go to the Leadership thing,
and it's about Law, meeting like Surpreme Court,
and site-seeing in Washington D.C. and I can
go this summer, 08 or next, 09.

Usually you go when you're going to be a junior,
but next summer 08, I'm only going to be a sophmore, but it's really a chance of the life-time, and I'd love to go this summer, just because it sounds exciting.

I'd travel from Cali to D.C. alone, I'd be 15,
so go this summer for adventure
or go next 09 when I'll be more of age
with the other kids?

Well it's the same thing if I don't decide to go this summer.

At 15, you are old enough to appreciate the opportunity. I would go at your earliest chance because nothing is ever guaranteed.

I would say try to go now if you have the chance. Then if you cannot go, you could always try again the following year.

Always take the first opportunity offered. If something comes up, you still have another shot at the trip.
