my mom has this really bad habit of peeling her fingers..i guess shes nervouse or something...but it bothers her alot! please help!

Oh my, that is bad.
It sounds like an OCD problem, has she seen the doctor for that? If not have her go to one asap.
She could make herself wear a pair of cotton gloves all the time.

I would recommend she take a healthy dose of cod liver oil or other good fish oil. Every day. Cod liver oil is the cheapest and effective, but she might prefer another fish oil that tastes better.
I get sore peeling of my fingers, but it gets a lot better when I remember my fish oil.
Also, I use a nail file to file down the really rough spots, this feels better than peeling.

First of all. Your just the kid. I know you want to help mom, but thats not your responsibility, Your responsibilty is to just be a kid. Sounds like your mom may have a compulsive habit and needs to get evaluated with some counseling. You can't fix mom, your mom has to fix MOM.

Peeling her fingers!!?? How the heck do ya do that?!?
EDIT: If you meen biting her nails, tell her to keep a rubber band around her wrist so whenever you catch her biting her nails have her or yourself snap it. It will eventually make her stop!

Take her to go get a manicure. She won't be so tempted to peel them if she has those fake nails put on.

tell her to hold a tissue or rag in her hands all the while. this action helped my grand mother out of this situation years ago.
