If people know how to handle kids they are going to love babysitting. Kids can be little devils when the parents are not present making the babysitter wish the night was over quick!!
I personally know how to handle most kids but honestly don't like babysitting. Taking care of kids is an art. Why do you think day cares charge so much????

No. I no longer babysit but when I did, I hated it. I was always worried something would happen to the kid and I would get blamed. It's terrifying to be responsible for someone else's child.

I'm a Scout Troop Leader. I volunteer to be a babysitter. At least that's the way it seems with a few kids. Hell, I even pay out of my own pocket when taking them camping.
It's the only organization I know of where everyone pays to work.

I'm not a hugh fan if it's like changing
diapers, which sometimes happens, but oh well,
but if it's like toddlers and younger kids,
I love to babysit. It's fun to do what they like,
and to act like a kid/grown-up yourself.
Just recently I got to go to the park,
and color, and watch cartoons.
That was one fun afternoon!

I love it. I was a 'nanny' for four summers and watched three girls from 8 AM-5 PM daily. Best job ever! Of course, my dream job is to be a stay-at-home momma. I would get them up and dress, fix breakfast, clean, eat lunch, put them in their swimsuits and put sunblock on them, go to the pool, come back and shower, and just play and have tons of fun! :)

I've pretty much made it my "life's work"- at 53, I'm a professional nanny and have taken care of other people's children for 36 years! That would be a YES!

yeah but i usually babysit my baby cuz' and it's fun he does jump kicks and hit's me with stuff =) but we are just playing... he's only four and listens to me unlike somepeople *cough*Karina*cough*
