What is a genuine Christian these days? That seems like a contradiction in terms when applied to people like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Ted Haggerty, etc etc etc. Genuine and Christian don't belong in the same sentence when talking about these people. And, that seems so for GWB as well. He, like the rest of the GOP pays it lip service just for the votes. They've dragged the name of Jesus Christ through the mud.

If Bush was a genuine christian he would have at least considered what Clinton had to say about terrorism....If Bush was a true christian he would have demanded answers when he got the memo stating"Bin Laden determined to strike inside US".Instead of going and finishing his vacation..If Bush was a genuine christian he would have admitted that it was a mistake to INVADE Iraq when it became apparent that there were no WMDs in Iraq.If Bush was a genuine christian he would have publicly testified in front of the 9/11 commission after having sworn to tell the truth! If Bush was a genuine christian he would have lived up to his oath "to protect and defend the constitution".Consider the first three words of the constitution.........WE THE PEOPLE!!!!!

Any one can call them self a Christian.
Don't under stand the use of "genuine" real.
All the label means to me is a believer in Christ. So that part
is real, ----Do you walk what you talk? I doubt any human does
at all times. Bush and all career politicians, It is my opinion
they use any tool they can that they think the people what to hear.
So Bush like any other politican at this time, I don't trust any
of them. "Pride go'eth before the fall." I think Bush is an
egotist, and arrogant. Maybe he thinks he is real, But I
certainly do not understand his reality.

Well, it's not up to me to answer that, but I can say this: I don't believe he reads the Bible as he says he does.
I do read the Bible, and I haven't found it or Jesus advocating war or greed. On the other hand, Jesus is very clear that we should care for the poor and the sick. So the fact that the health care problems and problems of the poor are getting worse instead of better does not indicate a Bible-believing man.

Well, not being a Christian, I can't really say I know what a genuine one is. What is one, anyway?
But I believe that Mr. Bush believes that he is a genuine Christian, if that helps. To me, that seems to be the key defining characteristic.

As a 'Christian', it's not my place to judge him and determine if he is genuine or not. The good Lord knows and will judge him accordingly...as He will with us all.
