Yes, but everyone isn't always happy or pleasant to be around for different reasons.
When someone you know brings you down; talk as little as possible to them unless you can re-direct their attention to something positive or just talk about the weather.
If you know them well enough; just come out and tell them to please stop; you're depressing me and we don't need this.
Let's focus on something else.

My mother. I know she's supposed to be my best friend, but she's not. She always finds something to say to make me feel awful about myself or makes me angry. When I'm around her I become the type of person I don't ever want to be.

not really.
Most of our family is pretty neutral or upbeat. From time to time there may be alittle of that, but I think that's expected. It can't all be giggles and parties....

yeah, my friend that I really like who doesn't like me the same way, I was kinda lead on and I got attached and I wish I could see her the same way I did before I liked her like this, every time I talk to her I get really depressed
