Being that it is only your 3rd period, I wouldn't worry. It can take quite a while for your hormones to regulate and get on any kind of schedule. With that being said, if it continues to be so bad or if you notice that you are pale, weak or dizzy, I would get to a doc.

Yes yes yes it's normal. It happened to me before. I've had my period for 5 years or so and my period is still kind of weird sometimes! If it becomes very hard to deal with however, see the doctor. He/she can probably help. It's normal though, so there's nothing to worry about.

I used to have HEAVY periods until I started taking birth control pills. When you take them, you almost always know when to expect your period (a HUGE plus), and it's some what lighter for the most part. Try that out if you want to.

:)

As long as the really heavy flow lasts only a day or so you are fine. There are days that I feel like that too! If it goes on for more than a few days then I would be concerned but it just sounds like you had a heavy flow day. Most periods you will have a heavier flow the first 2 or 3 days and then it will taper off. Good luck! Aren't periods fun ;)

Heavy periods are very normal (unfortunatly), you have nothing to worry about. All that blood and the blood clots are just the endometrium (uterine lining) shedding, it'll grow back after your period in preparation for a pregnancy and then shed again. You could go see your doctor and they'll probably start you on the pill. I normally have very heavy periods, they started out pretty light. I tried the pill to regulate mine but it didn't help me, it is worth a shot though. They could get progressivly worse (like mine did), but if gives you trouble talk to your doctor. Hope this helped, good luck and welcome to the club!

I am in my 40's and this has been normal for me my whole life. Just let the doctor know so he can monitor any changes and look for other causes. Chances are though, it's just your own way.
Eat lots of iron based products especially during your period, such as spinach, cream of wheat to keep you from losing iron in your blood. A good multi vitamin would be nice too.

Yep...hormones are a strange thing. If it doesn't get better, go to a doctor and get some birth control pills. BC will usually help reduce the amount of bleeding. I had to because my periods were SO severe. I had MAJOR cramping and periods that were so hard to time.

I think in the beginning it is normal to have irregular periods. Somedays your flow might be heavier than others(usually the first couple days). Soon you should get into a regular cycle and recognize when your heavy and light days are. Don't worry you're normal!!

I'm not sure if its normal or not :[. My mom gets regular ones and my sister ALWAYS misses hers [its been.. 3 months since her last one].
