Crosby on the Blue Jackets? Ovechkin on the Hawks? St. Louis on the Blues? Luongo on the Kings?.... Does the talent around your player add to his game? Could your player thrive still on another club without the same chemistry he has on his current team??? Is the player a true phenom or is it still all team chemistry that makes him the star he is???

I think certain players need another player to work better. Like a person above stated Thornton and Jonathan Cheechoo. To a lower degree Thornton and Glen Murray. I am a Bruin fan and I would like to say that, I believe that Patrice Bergeron could do just as well on another team.

one player can not win it all. However Luongo sure tried while he was in Florida. Winning is too hard without players around you. However, guys like Ovechkin (shooters) would flurish having a pass happy Centreman. A Crosby type player not so much. Look at Rick Nash in Columbus. Nash is an amazing player that has absolutly nothing to play with. Having the defencive schemes aimed only at one player make it very hard for a player to succeed.

I have to disagree with Thornton not making other players better. I think Thornton needs to play with a certain type of player to make a big improvement in his play. He needs to play with a shooter, strictly a finisher who doesn't look to create plays, but rather find open space where he can receive and shoot the puck. Cheechoo is the perfect example of that, adn everyone can see how the addition of Thornton to the Sharks made him one of the top goal scorers in the NHL. Are you trying to tell me Thornton didn't directly impact Cheechoo's game more than anybody ever before in his career?
As for your question, I have to say no. Luongo is my favorite player and he wouldn't do just as well anywhere else. Just look at his career in Florida. He couldn't lead the Panthers to the playoffs, but he lead the Canucks to a division title and the second round of the playoffs. The Canucks depend on Luongo just as much as Florida did. The difference is in Vancouver, they built the right system around him, focusing primarilly on defense and offense second. Luongo was able to florish under this system and become a Hart trophy candidate.

Incidentally, Crosby is my favorite player, but as a penguins supporter, im also a bit impartial to Jagr, so im kinda pissed that hes in NY now.

They would both do well on different teams. Crosby is a play-maker and a goal scorer, and he made alot of the players on the penguins fantasy rankings rise simply because he plays on the ice with them. Jagr is a great individual talent who, granted has had extraordinary talent around him for most of his career (Lemiuex, Bondra, Shanahan), he could be a great team leader. If jagr was on a different team, and a few years younger, he could be like ovechkin.

purely occurred... and that i will continually be a Manny fan. he's pleasing and exciting and a damn sturdy hitter... the terrific Righty interior the interest and he replaced into tailor made for Fenway... Its a disgrace that the two those obdurate egos had to wreck eachother like they did, the purple Sox administration and Manny. are you asking reason you examine the writing on the wall that Tek isn't gonna have an effortless bargin with the purple Sox this autumn? he's gonna choose years... the purple Sox in no way supply years. i do no longer hate Damon as much as I used to, i think of the purple Sox botched that one, he's purely been to the DL as quickly as considering the fact that he left Boston...and he replaced into the face of the gang, and a catalist for the offense... they even have not had a definate leadoff catalist considering the fact that he left... Ellsbury nevertheless needs yet another 365 days or so... while that commerce went down i replaced into pissed! Yankees continually try this tho. Nomar, they have been on condition that one precise... Nomar is valueless now, has been considering the fact that spring 04. i do no longer think of absolutely everyone in Boston likes Nomar anymore. i'm death to work out what Braves followers say to this question...

It really does help, for sure.

Jordan had Pippen and Denis Rodman

Mario Lemiuex had great surroundings

Team Chemistry is huge especially in hockey look at the USSR that dominated until of course the Olympic game versus the US they were so good because they played together for a long time.

Just from my experience you might have better talent but if you have team chemistry you will do very well. I played with the same guys for a long time in hockey and we played times that were twice as good as us but we had great team chemistry and beat them and Vice Verse

I don;t have a favourite player.

Crosby is the type of guy that makes players around him better. He's not of the same ilk as a Lemieux, Gretzky, etc but he has that ability.

Joe Thornton on the other hand...does not. Thornton was a very good player who didn't have the ability to make players around him better. His play with Nash at HC Davos and international play proved that with the right people around him he can be a superstar. The trade to San Jose compounded that when the players around him helped him win a scoring title.

I think Holmstrom could do pretty good on a different team, as long as people get pucks to the net when he's there, the main thing he would lack elsewhere is chemistry, since he's been a Wing his whole career.

Eric Staal could do it, as long as he plays with a guy who can pass. Rod Brind' Amour could certainly do it, that's what he does- make the guys around him better.
