My mother and I are planning a trip to Scottsdale in October. wWe will be going to the Out of Afica Wildlife Park and taking a ride on the Dolly Steamboat, but have another ful day to fill. Shopping is on the agenda and so is the Canyon but what else?

There is alot to do in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
1)Arizona Mills Mall-Tempe
2)Hall of Flame Firefighting Museum-Phoenix
3)Botanical Gardens-Phoenix (Papago Park)
4)Mesa Southwest Museum-Mesa
5)Fiesta Mall-Mesa
6)Phoenix Zoo-Phoenix (Papago Park)
7)Phoenix Metrocenter Mall-North Phoenix
8)Downtown Scottsdale-lot of nice shops (Scottsdale Road)
9)Borgata Shopping Center-Scottsdale
10)For dinner-Rustler's Rooste Restaurant-Phoenix (10 Freeway & Baseline @ The Pointe Resort. It is a little pricey, but the food is good and it has a beautiful view of the city at night. Plus they have a slide that you can go down into the dining room. Thats my favorite thing to do when I go there to eat!!

The zoo is amazing, do a city search for phoenix and see if there is anything else going on ... perhaps the fair???

I suggest that you visit Sedona. It is surrounding by beautiful red mountains and is a delightfully quaint town.
