RAM means Random Access Memory. It's always there. That amount of RAM is low for running games. You might want to get more RAM installed into your computer. The game will run better.

You have to have the base Sims 2 game installed in order to use University. You'll have to have both installed.

Absolutely not. You will need the Original Sims 2 to run the expansion pack. PS-Your RAM never left

sadly you need to have the sims 2 base game installed to be able to run university.
Im afraid your only option is to uprage the ram on your computer.
I suggest you save up your money and go to you local computer store and ask the how much it would cost to get 1gb of ram installed.

To play any of the expansion packs, you HAVE to have the base game installed. Sorry. If you're worried about your computer not being able to handle the game, buy more memory. It'll help speed up your computer.
