ok im white well i come an hispanic family..but why do ppl say white girls cant dance..that bbothers me because it doesnt matter if ur white to not knowing how to dance it doesnt really matter..that what some ppl cant understand..i could dance im just saying that aint right and why do they always take it on us..dam who ever think wrong shouuld put there sh!t striaght cuz im white or what ever hispanic and i could crank dat soulja boi && ALOT of stuff perfect..so whats the problem wit ppl..?

I think it's a stereotype thing with a bit of racism. A black person, according to society, is supposed to be able to rap, dance and pick a fight. White people are supposed to be racist, nerdy and snooty. (Note: I swear, THIS IS NOT MY OPINION. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE NOTICED FORM OTHER PEOPLE. PLEASE DO NOT FLAME ME)
This is why I hate stereotypes. They prevent people from doing what they want without people poking at them. I have the same problem at my school. We have a step team and there is only one white girl on it. She's just as good as the rest, but I hear people all the time saying "Why is there a white girl on the team? She can't dance!" It's ridiculous.

People love to stereotype because it's safe. People say all kinds of 'crap'. You don't have to buy into it.
How many times do think Tiger Woods heard that black people should play basketball, not golf?
And do you think it's easy for white rappers?
You can't change what other people say and think, only what you know in your heart and mind to be true. Of course, white girls can dance! Don't fall for the hype!
People used to say that it was impossible to run a 4 minute mile. Finally, one guy broke the record. Not long after that, many others broke the 4 minute wall. You can anything, especially if you don't let other people's limitations hold you back!

I'm white and I can dance. I get compliments all the time depending on what ethinicity. If its a white person its "wow you dance so ghetto!" A black person " Girl you can dance!" A latina "aw mumi shake it " lol. AND i grew up in white suburbia with a racist father who was embarrassed I got standing ovations at talent shows for my hip-hop routines. I brought hip-hop to suburbia. HA. But im self taught a long devoted mtv fan.

Simple reason: they are stupid, they don't know any better. What really ticks me off though is some white people saying it! Like "Help, I need to learn to dance, but I'm really bad at it because I'm white". How's that for a poor excuse? Do you hear any other race turning bad stereotypes against themselves like that? I don't know what's wrong with them.

i agree. its funny you say that,because i do have classical dance training, 22 years worth, but i can also hold my own at a club. its hysterical because i'm the pastiest white girl alive and i know what i'm doing, but inevitably some guy will come up with the brilliant line "daaaaaamn girl, i never seen a girl who wasn't spanish shake her *** like that". well then clearly the ability to dance isn't limited to one race, now is it?

I've worked in the dance world for 25 years -- I've never heard that crap and no one I know would even listen to it.
If someone is trying to psyche you, don't let it happen.

why do they say that?coz theyre stupid idiots,thats why.in some countries all the people are white but there are amazing dancers.that crap is ridiculous.
