i've been trying to find out if having sex in your car is illegal, and alot of answers i've read have said something along the lines of "it depends on the situation". so people...can we get serious for just one second?
we live in PA, we're planning on going to a secluded mountain road and backing into the trees a little. there will most likely be no one around, and i have no doubt that we'll be covered up when we do it. we cant be out late enough to wait for night, so dont recommend it. also, the windows on this car are not tinted.
i dont know if it matters but we're both 17, and we both, of course, are consenting to it.
so i guess my question is...what is the worst thing that can happen if we get caught? it will be our first offense if it does happen, so how will that play into things?

Nothing bad will happen, dude. We were all teenagers. I got caught SO many times when I was a teen. The cops will tell you to move on, and let you drive away. They totally understand. We were all young once....

Sex in a car? That doesn't sound very romantic to me. I mean, on top of all the other things you have to worry about, you are on these boards worrying about what will happen if you get caught. Perhaps you could find a better place to have sex. Yes, being 17 does matter, especially to the female who could possible have her life ruined with an unwanted pregnancy. I do hope you have thought through the moral consequences as well as the legal ones.

You could be arrested for indecent exposure......Me and my ex got caught on a park bench in the middle of nowhere and almost got in trouble. Cops were called because we were next to a bike trail area and a man and his son rode by, but it was to dark to see anything. We took off and made sure we got home as fast as possible. Just be careful about your surrounding, have fun with it. It can be a turn on for some people who may get excited just the thought of getting caught can really turn you on.

someone else on here pretty much said exactly what I was going to... I know this from experience too.. they will ask your girlfriend if she is being held againist her will.. if she's ok.... they will ask for your license and registration and tell you to go get a room somewhere. I was caught numerous times when I was younger and the same thing always happened. The police really dont' care that much. They are more concerned with other things going on.

I was thinking maybe public indecency -- in Ohio, public indecency is considered to be: a public exposure of private parts in a way that is likely to affront (offend) people in households other than your own (it's interesting to note that it's OK to offend people in your own house).
There was a case we discussed in my criminal law class of a man who was peeing behind a dumpster at 3:00 A.M. in a dark alley -- he was noticed by a police officer, and charged with public indecency -- he got off . . . because at 3:00 A.M. you're not likely to offend anybody behind a dumpster in a dark alley -- except for police officers.
If I were you -- I'd do a quick review of the Pennsylvania Laws (you can find them on the state website) for public indecency, public nudity, and nuisance.

What the cops are going to do if they catch you is knock on the window, ask if anyone is being held against their will in the car, maybe ask to make sure you are not underage (since you are older than 16 it's fine), and they might ask you to drive somewhere else.

Your planning is excellent...but I would strongly suggest a van instead of a car. Side note. if you get caught don't expect the girl to ever speak to you again as it will be all your fault.
