Rear main , front crank, any cam seals if present, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, intake gasket. Depending on year make and modal and what engine it is there may be other parts that require misc seals and gaskets.I just need more info.

I'll begin with the most common causes for oil leaks:

1. Valve cover gaskets
2. Intake manifold gasket or seal
3. Front or rear main seal (crankshaft)
4. Front camshaft seal (Over-head camshaft)
5. Oil pan gasket/seal
6. Headgasket (Very obvious if bad leak.)

The most common cause for a seal to begin leaking is wear and tear. They heat up and swell every time you run the engine and then they cool down and shrink when you park the car. This process goes on for many years and hundreds if not thousands of starts and stops.

On the front and rear main seals on the crankshaft the most common cause for a leak is wear and tear on the crankshaft main bearings. This allows more play in the crankshaft and when you park it the crankshaft settles a fraction of a millimeter and pulls on those seals. You could change these seals every few months in an old engine but the proper fix would be new main and rod bearings on the crankshaft. (Rod bearings and main bearing always are replaced at the same time since the crankshaft is removed to replace the main bearings.)

I like to clean my engine once a year with Simple Green and warm water (hose or DIY carwash) as this removes the salt from Winter and any oil that might be on the engine from tiny leaks. This helps you keep track of any leaks and prevents dirt from collecting on the engine and gets all that nasty salt off the motor.

Good Luck!
