There's not gonna be a solution to global warming. Even if we went back to the caves tomorrow, the earth's gonna be fuched for at least a century or two.
But, I don't think that'll be our downfall..pretty sure we'll find some other, quicker way to destroy life as we know it. Cheers!

Human species will create their own destruction, if not by global warming, then by some other means, all out nuclear war could do it, and the rogue states are getting that power.
By the way - Are you still carrying brand new plastic bags from the store to the gasoline combustion engine car parked just outside the mall door ? After we drive home, burn Oxygen, make Carbon Dioxide, etc. and put that plastic bag in the garbage, it will take hundreds of years for it to decompose, all the while, slowly releasing poisonous chemicals into the soil and water supply. So many people contribute, and a lot is piling up everywhere.

For some odd reason, people have been predicting the demise of the human race pretty much since the first humans appeared on earth. We are pretty bright and adaptable. There is little that we cannot adapt to or overcome.
That being the case, I would not give away all that I own and move to a mountain top just. It would be advisable for everyone to just relax and take a deep breath and let out some carbon dioxide.

I believe that while we may slow, and possibly end (not likely) global warming, that we are doomed to destroy our selves one way or another. I don't see us making it past 3000, or 4000 at the latest.

From what I've read - before the end, there'll be wars over precious resources - like clean water, aka, the 'new' gold.

Well I haven't the answer, but I hope for the latter. It all depends on awareness, and accepting the responsibility.
