Being a week late would put you at about 5 weeks, which is when a gestational sac should be seen. You don't see a baby until 6 weeks. I wouldn't be too worried yet, because if you ovulated late you wouldn't be as far along and a sac wouldn't be visible yet. What should have been seen no matter what is the thickening of your lining. I'm assuming your levels are being checked and another ultrasound is being scheduled to check your tubes for an ectopic.

they told me at my 7 wk ultrasound that I was lucky I seen all that i did. They said that early pregnancies are harder to detect. That a vaginal ultrasound can usually pick up sooner but a regular one can easily miss a pregnancy in the first few weeks.

yeah it might have been too early...i got my first one at 10 weeks and she was actually kinda big and you could 100% tell where the head was and she was even waving her little arm and you could see it sooo clearly! But my friend had one at the same time and it was just a blurry round dot..just depends on the person. They should do another at 10 weeks..most doctors wait till 10-12 weeks to see you anyway

You should really see your Dr. have a blood test and make sure he know's about your miscarriages and preme baby! There is no sure way to know without a blood test. Home tests are not usually wrong but your Dr. should really be monitoring you very closely! good luck.

dont panic......your not far enough along for a regular ultrasound to pick up much....... try an intrauteran ultrasound......they pick up more.
