i don't think its creepy at all.
its a way of remembering the person,
sometimes the only visible rememberance.
i found a guy who died's page when i was going through a celebrities myspace page and saw in a comment a letter his friend wrote to them, explaining how he was driving the car with his friend in it and he accidentally crashed the car, killing his best friend and not him, and how he felt so bad about it... then after reading all of the comments ppl posted on his page, i was literally sobbing it was so sad-i didnt even know this guy and i was so sad.
in my opinion, i think its a great way to remember a person.

There is actually a girl I went to school with who recently passed away and her myspace is still up, and she is still receiving messages from people. I think people do that because they feel like in a way she is still there. They probably feel like they still have apart of her. If I died I wouldn't want to be erased from everyone.

I think it's a perfectly normal way to mourn. Everyone is different. To some people, leaving comments might feel weird, for others...it's just another way to express your sadness and respect for the person who died. It helps to write down all your feelings, even if you know that the person isn't going to be able to read them.

I thought it was creepy at first, but think about it. How is the myspace profile of a deceased friend any different than the tombstone over their grave? People don't think twice about leaving flowers and notes on tombstones, so why is it so weird to leave a comment on your late friend's profile?

If you died, you wouldn't care. You might not even see. And it might make someone here on earth feel better. Is it creepy to leave flowers at a grave? Is it creepy to talk to someone you loved who died?
There's lots of "creepy" stuff that might happen after you're gone. You need to realize that except for a will, you will have no control over any of it.

I agree it is creepy. It is one of those things you don't really think about while alive, the fact that your MySpace account doesn't just go away when you pass away.

Not at all, I think it's fine for everyone. I mean they just may have myspace in heaven! That way the deceased can still talk to their friends...
okay not really but I think its a good way for the close friends to grieve their lost friend.

That's not creepy. It's nice that people take the time to say something good about the person who died.

I think it is their way of closure. If that's what it takes to get over a friend dying (harder than you could possibly imagine) than that is what they should do. If my friends wanted to do that I would be OK with it. It is just like the prayer balloons to heaven. I don't really see why you think it is creepy...
