Has anyone here experienced heavy bleeding but not had a miscarriage?

Thanks all.. I have a Doc appointment tomorrow.. but I don't have much hope now. Oh and Beka.. I did think that I had an ectopic but yesterday at my second ultrasound they finally saw something. Bittersweet, I guess.

It's not normal to have a heavy bleeding during pregnancies. That could be early sign of a miscarriage. Get doctor's help immediately.

With my first pregnancy I bled, very heavily, every Saturday from 24 weeks until I had my son at 33 weeks. I had Placenta Previa which is where the placenta is attached near the OS. It was painless but oh so scary and much blood!

Are you experiencing bleeding, any bleeding should be checked out - it may be nothing but it could be something.

best of luck xx

I don't think HEAVY bleeding is a good sign. I would see your Dr. ASAP. You might have a tubal pregnancy, Didnt you say your blood HCG levels went up but they were still low?

I also lost a twin baby during my 11wk of pregnancy...I actually saw the baby though. My son is here now, a healthy 2 yr old!
I did not have heavy bleeding just alot of tissue and then bleeding for about a month and then was diagnosed with placenta previa. which is where the placenta covers the cervix and can sometimes bleed esp. after sex....doctor will usually order no sex untill after pregnancy to keep bleeding down.

Good luck hon!!!

When i was 14 wks pregnant 2ith my oldest (she's 9 now) I bled pretty heavy for about 2 or 3 days. With my next daughter (she's 8 now) at 19 wks i woke up in a pool of blood and bled for a couple days after that. So it is possible to bleed heavy and not miscarry. My kids are proof.

i was about 10-11 weeks pregnant and i bled heavily, as well as fleshy clotting, but had no pain at all. When i saw the clotting i was convinced i had miscarried, so i called the ambulance and was taken to hospital. Turned out the baby was fine, although some have suggested that i was probably unknowingly carrying twins and i may have lost one twin which hadnt developed properly

i have a friend who just had a tubal pregnancy. she was 7 weeks already and was bleeding for ten days, they had to do emergency surgery becasue her tube ruptured. any HEAVy bleeding during preg is bad. light bleeding early on can be anything from implantation bleeding(the egg latching onto the uterus) or some infection etc....if it's sreious you should call a dr.

I did at 14 weeks. I went to the ER and was told I had a placental abruption. Everything turned out fine, my son is now 4 mos.

my daughter is now 4 & during the 1st trimester of her pregnancy I bled so heavily that I was admitted in to hospital.
They told us we had lost our baby & that I had to have a DNC.
Before they took me to theatre they did a scan to check it was not an eptopic pregnancy & revealed that I had not lost our baby & the bleeding & pain stopped after about a week and I was told to have lots of rest.
Thank god they scanned me other wise we would not have our lovely Lucy !!
Go to your doctor or speak to your midwife but please delmad a scan before you let them make any decisions, it is your body & your reight to know what is going on inside it.
Good luck

see your midwife or gp to be sure though - they can find out quite quick for you
