There are two start dates to each season. Celestial and meteorological. Celestial is what you see on the calendar. Celestial can vary by a day based on the speed of the Earth traveling around the Sun. Meteorological seasons start on the first of the month.
Celestial
Winter Dec 21/22
Spring Mar 20/21
Summer Jun 20/21
Fall Sep 22/23
Meteorological
Winter Dec 1
Spring Mar 1
Summer Jun 1
Fall Sep 1
So to answer your question. Celestially we are still in summer, meteorologically we are in fall.
