My sister (for real, it's not me. lol) Anyway, my sister has one foot bigger than the other. She cannot find a pair of shoes that can fit comfortably. Does anyone else have this problem or know of anyone? And what do you do about it?

Oh, her left foot is prominently bigger than her right foot. Like a good 1/2 size bigger. Poor thing.

There are shoe matching services that help people who need 2 different sizes. Here is a link w/ contact information for such organizations: http://www.amputee-coalition.org/fact_sheets/oddshoe.html

Other options are having shoes custom made or buying two pairs of shoes in the same style & wearing the sizes one needs.

You sister can also experiment w/ shoes that are adjustable. e.g. Tevas, Keens, Birkenstocks or Dansko w/ straps & buckles

Thanks to a car accident, my left foot is wider than my right foot. The left takes a D width, the right is your basic B. I always fit the larger foot and use sticky foam things to fill out the right foot. You know...the things that go under the ball of the foot...only I trim them and place them in the sides... I used to try to stretch the left shoe, but it was never comfortable no mater how much I stretched it. Turned out there was scar tissue on some of the cartilige...or something like that.

I've heard of it. Everyone has one thing bigger than the other...whatever we have on our bodies that's in pairs...but usually, it's so miniscule that you don't notice. If hers is that prominent, then it sounds like she may have to buy 2 pairs of stuff, which feels like a waste, or buy her shoes from a place that specially makes them in conjunction with an Orthopedic doctor, dudedette or whoever...Good Luck to her.

Yup my feet are different sizes. Actually most peoples are but usually sneakers are fine because you can adjust the laces. I actually just bought boots though and one is tighter than the other.
